This
site constantly reviews and compares golf GPS and laser rangefinders. We do not carry every golf GPS or laser rangefinder
on the market. We must pick and choose
which manufacturers we want and then we try to get those products.
BUSHNELL
We
carry Bushnell laser rangefinders, because
you cannot find a better laser rangefinder anywhere. Also Bushnell has choices from affordable to
somewhat expensive. We carry Bushnell golf GPS, because of price
point and the Bushnell name. When it
comes to Bushnell golf GPS we believe that the Bushnell Neo golf GPS is the best choice in the Bushnell line.Neo was developed by iGolf and is time
tested. The Bushnell Neo GPS is priced
low, yet has an easy to view read-out and allows you to measure your drives and
manually plot your courses.We think
those are strong features and that is why we recommend this particular
unit.As far as laser rangefinders go,
we really like the Bushnell V2 with
slope. The V2 is priced lower than
the Bushnell 1600 and is smaller.Of
course the Bushnell Pinseeker 1600 Slope
Edition is the ultimate with the highest magnification and we like this
above any laser rangefinder if you have a little more to spend.
SAVANT ONPAR GOLF GPS
The
OnPar golf GPS is new to the market, but is by far the slickest golf GPS on the
market.The touch-screen technology is
perfected in this large screen unit and it is really easy to use.We are offering a $50 bounty for OnPar
reviews, so this makes the OnPar golf
GPS the most affordable of the high end units. The weakness of this unit is also the allure,
it is new and therefore many courses are yet to be charted. However if your course is not charted, Savant
will chart it within 30 days of your request.Obviously this disadvantage recedes as the weeks go by.We like this unit so much we had to lobby
Savant to become a retailer for them.As
is typical of a new/innovative golf GPS unit, manufacturing lags distribution;
manufacturers do not need new retail outlets.Anchor Goods was very fortunate to become one of the few.
SONOCADDIE
Sonocaddie
is an excellent golf GPS.All Sonocaddie
models are superior golf GPS units. Our
recommendations are the Sonocaddie V100
and the Sonocaddie Auto Play Golf GPS.The V100 GPS is very nicely loaded for a
low cost golf GPS.The V100 also has a
very affordable course download plan. And before I go on to the Auto Play, just one mention of the Sonocaddie XV2; the XV2 is also nicely
loaded and it offers free course downloads. Our Sonocaddie favorite though is the Sonocaddie Auto Play. The Auto play golf GPS comes fully loaded
with all of Sonocaddie’s 18,000+ golf courses. This golf GPS is full color, with tons of features and will hold up to
30,000 golf courses. In our opinion this
is the unit for the guy who just wants to play golf; open the box and turn it
on; really, really nice!
